Immersed in the Blue-Green Seas of Bora Bora
/Grab your board shorts, everybody’s gone “surfing.”
What? Where?
Well, for this particular guitar, not only Bora Bora but the surf is also up at Midwood Guitar Studio in Charlotte, North Carolina. That is where this one will have its layover.
And back to the islands, let’s talk more about this color.
The tropical waters of Bora Bora…they were the inspiration for our very first over-the-top, drama-color that was part of the emerging custom guitar revolution that began in the 80s and early 90s. At that time, the Drop Top made its metamorphic debut in Bora Bora Blue as it completely reshaped maple-topped S-style guitars by swooping (dropping) the maple top down across the forearm contour for the first time in guitar history, allowing beautiful maple tops to appear on S guitars without limitations to comfortable playing.
This 24-fret Angel in Natural Bora Blue Burst is bountifully reminiscent of that original Bora Bora Blue formulation of hues—but on steroids. You can see how this altered color, highlighting a crazy tubular quilted maple that lies beneath, can bring a maple top to tropical life. The center section letting through natural wood coloration and light Bora shades together in visual harmony.
Yeah, and it certainly doesn’t hurt that this is the best-playing guitar you have ever touched—unless you already own an Anderson, and then you know exactly what we are talking about.
And if you haven’t had the chance to play one yet…a treat certainly awaits you—in whichever color and model you choose to dominate the musical world.
Some may call this Angel the virtual ebb and flow of the shallow, clear waters of Bora Bora. We also call it pure playing performance and visceral visual bliss.
