Giving Goodness

Did you hear? The best news ever. Can you believe it!? They are actually giving one away.

Great…one what!?

A brand new Anderson Drop Top, that’s what. So cool. What a total treat. And there are no strings attached. Well, now that I think about it, there actually are some strings attached, but the good kind. We can get more into that later.

Really? Wow. That is cool. Exciting. Who is it that is giving away this beautiful-looking and profoundly playing Black Surf, Drop Top?

Well, um, let’s see…apparently it is a joint venture between Anderson Guitarworks and that awesome string company that everyone likes. You know those “guys?”

And what’s this awesome string company’s name?

It’s the D guys. You know, the D apostrophe people. Their XS Coated strings are now exclusively featured on all new Anderson Guitars.

Right, as I suspected. They do make awesome guitar strings that the world loves, but what is their name again? I mean, how is their name pronounced exactly?

Ahhhh…? Oh, it’s D’ Ah…something

That is what I thought. Everyone loves them and loves their strings but almost no one is exactly sure how to say their name completely correctly. And I heard (or maybe I just dreamed this part) that in order to be able to fully unlock all the hidden secrets that this Anderson Guitar has to offer, you must speak the name of the strings precisely and directly into the face of the pickups—at least once—before you begin your first song, otherwise…

Ah yes. I may not have read that somewhere, as well. So then, would you be willing to share the secret that will unlock this guitar, and future string buying without the embarrassment of mispronunciation?

Of course. But just to be completely safe, let us first engage an encrypted communication string, so only those reading this can read this.

We all know their name is spelled D’Addario. Great. We have seen it everywhere.

But it is pronounced: Da-dairy-oh. And no other way.

Say it with us now: Da-dairy-oh.

Don’t tell anyone I told you this part, but guitar-playing farmers tend to remember it this way:

Hi Ho Da-dairy-oh,

The farmer in the dell.

Now that we have imperative name clarification cleared up, some of the outstanding attributes of this Drop Top are:

Finished with a requested Black Surf paint scheme, dramatizing a Flame Maple top.

Supported by a unique and sonically pleasing Spanish Cedar body back that is finished in Transparent Light Brown, giving the appearance of naturally gorgeous wood throughout its entire length.

Caramel Maple neck back seems to color coordinate natural wood hues almost perfectly, while its rich Rosewood fingerboard is home to the world’s fastest feeling, Medium-Jumbo, stainless steel frets. What a joy to play.

Super versatile Single/Single/Humbuck pickup layout intrinsically produces rich and lavish renditions from its SC1, SC1, H2+ Anderson Pickup layout.
