Cajun colors.
They were our first foray into enhanced contrasting colorways as highly figured maple tops were beginning to emerge onto the electric guitar scene in the late 90s. This color process brought a new heightened dynamic look. We coined the fun term “Cajun” to call out a (figurative) blackened wood grain applied prior to the color process, beautifully enhancing contrast. They were a paradigm shift in guitar finishes for that time.
Our first two offerings were: Cajun Red and Cajun Magenta. They were immediately immensely popular.
As beloved as they were, Cajun Magenta always remained mysterious and elusive when it came to finding pictures of this spectacular shade online. Hey, it was the beginning days of the internet, but it did appear in one monumental two-part “Guitar of the Week” feature on the original Anderson Guitarworks website, showing out and making a huge impression.
And now, fueled by its mythic-like mystique and popular demand…and with the unrivaled assistance of this magnificent Guardian Angel Player, Cajun Magenta has risen once more.
