Doubling Up

Many say it is double the fun to play an Anderson guitar. And they’re probably correct. After all, focusing on high performance excellence has its rewards. But there is another dual aspect of this Drop Top that makes it a double.
Not only does it have twin single coil-sized pickups for a super musical mixture of single sounds, a humbucker (at the bridge position) that will easily run its two coils in series for full power or split for a surprisingly healthy single coil tone, boasts our dual rear strap buttons for balance and safety but this particular Drop Top is all decked out with our Double Wipeout paint scheme.
Doubly Gorgeous.
Double Wipeout is a variant on our regular Wipeout and Surf-style finishes—a gradient of color running laterally across the body.
Double Wipeout, however, incorporates two colors—one from each end of the guitar body. Very intricate, hand-rubbed and specialized. It can only be done to our standards with a few colors.
This one is Ocean Storm Double Wipeout.
A duet of color, intensifying outward from the natural center, black storm clouds gathering over the horns and deepening blue waters as we move toward the rear of the guitar. The result…Ocean Storm Double Wipeout.
And this time we are showing it over a flame maple top.
The only other time this scheme has been seen was enlivening the quilted maple top of a Top T in Guitar Tales from the 6th of August, 2021.
