Shakespeare Said It

At least we think he may have…maybe…

About Anderson; he might have said something like: “A Strawberry Shortcake by any other name will sound as sweet.”

What in the world was William talking about?

To understand this we need revisit the history of Strawberry Shortcake WakeSurf.

It first appeared on a guitar at the end of 2020 as a request by Jason Kui—an Anderson Artist. Displaying the hues desired, Jason suggested that we name this shade Strawberry Shortcake. We were not quite sure if he was hungry and craving a yummy dessert or if he was thinking of the cartoon character of the same name? I guess that is a question for another time. But the name was fun and it stuck.

For now, Strawberry Shortcake WakeSurf is appearing again, this time on an Angel, framed by a White body back color and adorned with Black Hardware and Black covered HC-series pickups—shining with shimmering accents under the lights.

But no matter what we call it, this Angel will play like an Anderson guitar, super smooth, fast, easy, welcoming and ridiculously fun.

And no matter the name, it will sound like “angels” singing—gorgeous, rich and robust with a broad, multi-dimensional bandwidth that projects super musical tones for all to enjoy.

And no matter how the color is designated, the pink and reddish hues are gorgeous and inviting for all who love the warmer shades.

See, that could be what William was talking about in Romeo and Juliet when he actually wrote:

“What’s in a name?

That which we call a rose

By any other name would smell as sweet”

If he were alive today and playing guitar to relax, couldn’t he just as easily have written:

“What’s in a name?

That which we call Strawberry Shortcake WakeSurf

By any other name would play and sound and impress just a sweetly.”

Hey, it could be…Bill was quite an artistically eloquent person. You may have read some of his stuff.
