Abducted By Aliens

Where did it go? It should be here somewhere. We searched in vain but it was not to be found. Completely disappeared; as if the gateway to the galaxy had seemingly slammed shut. Was the space-time connective corridor, linking our beautiful planet to the outer depth of the galaxy, no longer operational, or what?

Kind of makes sense though, right?

And what does all this mean for you and Anderson?

Without access to the outer reaches, there could be no more beautiful Metallic Galaxy Blue paint, for guitars. A super popular Anderson color.

This had quickly become an intergalactic fashion emergency—a condition that could not remain without throwing the entire balance of our solar system’s color way into disarray.

But not to despair, as music seems to have the power to rebalance everything. We clearly knew what we must do.

The Anderson Paint Force scrambled into action. Their mission: to reestablish a Galaxy Blue color connection to the universe and reenable it for application on Anderson guitars.

The fate of the cosmos was now dependent upon Edgar, Daniel and Patrick. Patrick fired up his favorite tunes, donned his protective space suit (or paint suit, depending on your perspective) and within a few days of intergalactic interaction was able to rebuild this very vital link and vibrant Metallic Galaxy Blue was flowing onto the surface of our guitars once again.

We were relieved because we wanted to be able to share a guitar with you that has the ability to unquestionably change your musical life for the better—and this one happens to be…Metallic Galaxy Blue.

Ever wanted to go to the gig and beat up on all your friends’ guitars, in a nice and friendly, musical way, of course? This is absolutely the guitar that will do it.

It was Brett and Tylor at Dave’s Guitar Shop that specced this auspicious Raven, Superbird for their store—perhaps one of the superest Superbirds ever seen. Underneath its gorgeous Galaxy Blue exterior lies a secret weapon, an Okoume body—generating huge mahogany-like tone…on steroids…super powered. This is what you choose when you want your mahogany tones to be even more muscular, legato and smooth. Impressive and so fun.

Superbird thrills are expounded upon with a substantial sized, mahogany-backed neck, crested by a dramatic Ziricote fingerboard, for an ample grab—adding to its already gargantuan tonal palette. Many players feel that hunky necks can have this kind of effect.

Power is pounded forth electrically through a mixed and matched set of P and H pickups, PQ1 and HC1+ to be specific. Selection is routed via a Big 3-Way toggle and 2 Cut (power) mini-switches, for a total of 8 wonderful tones from two stellar vintage-level pickups.

These pictures of this Superbird are a great example of what can happen when light is launched from a balanced source and spills out across the Metallic Galaxy Blue surface for all to see. You may even like to call it the effect of cosmic radiation. Imagine this under stage lighting.

From seeming loss is born a challenge. It can feel overwhelming at first but soon you see something new and something better is waiting to emerge. For nothing changes and nothing is lost without something being gained as abundance will always rush in to fill the void as we bid welcome to the new.
