Flippin’ And A Floppin’

Dark Cherry Burst, this color scheme originally appeared on the Singlecut genre of guitars oh so many years ago—tradition, really.

And for the most part this color composition has stuck to the Singlecut instrument, whereas 3 Color Burst themed finishes are more often seen on S-style guitars—in a sense, elucidating the heritage of each in their own way.

But sometimes there is a mixing and matching—a flippin’ and a floppin’—of colors. (Sounds like a cool 50’s song lyric doesn’t it?)

Sing it with me now:

Flippin’ and a Floppin’

Trippin’ and a Toppin’

Been told along time ago…

Okay, enough of that. We can do the rest later.

But…

As worlds collide—Dark Cherry Burst enlivens The Classic…S. For some players this can be the best of both aspects in one instrument—having your cherry and playing S too.

And to make matters even cooler, this particular Dark Cherry Burst, Ande has a Blackheart Fingerboard topping its Caramel (roasted) Maple Neck—for the dark look of ebony and the rich tonality of rosewood.

A three single coil pickup setup, laid out with two SC2s in the neck and middle positions and an SC3 at the bridge, pump the Swamp Ash body timbre with rich, full and forgiving vintage-plus inflection that commands single coil respect and makes your job just that much easier.

All of this electronic enchantment mounted aboard a Black Pickguard with Black Pickup Covers and Switch Tip further set the Dark Cherry Sunburst ablaze with high contrast accentuation.

Let’s hear it for the coming together of seeming differences into one cohesive whole, offering welcome and benefit to everyone. Music has a way of facilitating that gift.
