God Only Knows
/We need to stop everything right now and pause for a moment of silence, reverence, and deepest appreciation.
…
What was planned for Guitar Tales can wait a week, as we stop, breathe, embrace life, and say thank you to the magnificent Brian Wilson, his family, and friends.
For…
God Only Knows what music would have been without the genius of this wonderful soul, composer, and arranger, whose multi-part harmonies, sung with his family and friends, changed our lives and the entire tapestry of music for the better. So multidimensional, so gorgeous—just breathtaking. An influence on almost everyone who heard his music.
And we do know that it was not always easy being Brian. That was a big role to play in this lifetime, so we thank you for persevering through it all.
Let us just say it this way: Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for offering your gift of beauty to the world and to us. We know the joy and understand the sacrifices.
We feel much richer for having had this wonderful opportunity to share a completely unique musical experience with you for this one and only magical moment in all of time. We are the better for it—both of us. Us and you—together. All of us conjointly making up the whole of the artistic interplay. The way it really is when the world comes together—interacting in harmony, as it always should be.
Love to you now, Brian. As time is not linear once it has passed and the life-force energy is eternal, we look forward to hearing and singing your beautiful melodies and harmonies together with you once again.
Beach Boy Blessings.
In the later years, The Beach Boys had played a few Anderson Guitars—one being a Raven Classic. And so with great appreciation and heavy hearts, we offer this Seafoam Green, Raven Classic as a symbolic tribute to the world’s friend, Brian Wilson. Thank you, Brian, for spending time with all of us.
Honestly, the beauty that came through Brian was unparalleled. He wrote “happy songs,” and had this to say to Time magazine in 2004:
“That is probably why I wrote those happy songs. I try to get as close to paradise as I can.”
And about his album “Pet Sounds,” he said his goal was to create the “greatest rock album ever made.” But there are a lot of good ones. If you have not heard them, you should definitely check them out.
Yeah, you get the idea. This is a once-in-eternity moment, all of us in Love together.
