Standing out from the crowd, this Big Sparkle Gold Wolfhound Mutt would simply not lie down. Radiating from our NAMM booth all three days of the show, making massively bold visual and sonic statements for all to see and hear.

And what else would you expect? To pick up and hold a Wolfie is to become one with a lightweight and nimble guitar that feels as though it almost wants to play itself. But you will so love participating in the play, making it one of the best musical partners you could ever have in your band. So stable and it sings so in tune.

Within the Wolf family of fun and fine Anderson Guitars, this “Bold Gold" is actually a Wolfhound Mutt — so denoted as it deviates from traditional Mahogany-type body and neck woods found on the regular Wolfhound.

Wolfhound Mutt expands the band…width of traditional sounds with its optional (other than mahogany) wood choices. This one boasts a Maple neck, Ziricote Fingerboard, and Obeche (Oh-beach-ee) body. Obeche is the body wood that the masterful Tim Pearce described as “creamy” sounding, and we wholeheartedly agree. Could not have said it better ourselves. Smooth and flowing sound with a soft top end and ultra musical presentation.

So within the Wolf family of Anderson Guitars, Wolfhound Mutt is the “mutt” or mix of alternative woods not normally seen on this style of instrument.

Choose a “Mutt” if you would like to mix and match different woods to expand musical sounds and tonal colors.

Choose the regular Wolfhound if forceful mid-centered aggression and dominance is your preference.

Or…if you are one who says that Wolfhound has the coolest look around, you could get both to cover every Wolfhound sound. Such a good dog.
