Teeing Up A T

You could place your ball on the tee and drive it down the fairway full force but that is not what we are actually talking about here.

For us at Anderson Guitarworks, it’s a guitar thing.

Upscaling the T:

A glorious Top T Classic, visually pronounced by its gorgeous and comfortably contoured Quilt Maple top, finished in Blue WakeSurf and appointed with a myriad of variances uncommonly appearing on a traditional T layout.

Two opulent SC1, hum-cancelling, single coil-sized pickups have taken up residency in the neck and middle positions, gifting all within earshot with ultra lavish, rich and impressive vintage (and beyond) single coil sounds. And nestled nearest the tail is our MC3 mini humbuck, shrouded in a raw nickel cover—reasonably powerful and yet surprisingly musical in both its full and split output modes.

Often when upscaling the functional versatility of a T, three pickups and a tremolo bridge are chosen.

But this Top T Classic takes it to extremes by supercharging the bridge position pickup with a mega-musical mini humbucker and selecting a “Baby Floyd” tremolo bridge for more control of extreme pitch movement.

Editor’s Note: Baby Floyd is a fun and affectionate name used to denote the very first Floyd Rose style bridge—before they incorporated fine tuners and a locking nut.

As an alternative to the full featured Floyd, this “Baby” has become an extremely popular bridge option for its added vintage tremolo-like versatility, simplicity of use, smaller size and legendary big tone. Some consider it the ultimate way to do the vintage tremolo + thing without a larger footprint.

Complementing and counter balancing the Top T Classic’s beautiful maple top, an optional white body back color sequesters its vintage Swamp Ash body.

It is definitely time to T up!
