Wacky Khaki Waikīkī Revelation
/
Wacky in the best sense of the word, but of course.
Just imagine enjoying the lush paradise of Oahu. Joyfully inspired exploration leads you to the coolest guitar store on the island: Dan’s Guitars. Walking in, you meet the nicest people ever, and then discover…
The Classic, outfitted and finished in a gorgeous custom Metallic Khaki — a color almost never before seen on any Anderson anywhere. Secretly sequestered optional sealed hollow chambers make for an even lighter weight and unparalleled open Alder tonal experience. Truly inspired.
Propulsion for this Classic is purposefully provided by twin musically powerful Open-Face HC-Series humbucker “engines” that can also deliver surprisingly wonderful single-coil sounds with the flick of the 5-Way. You can confidently cover so many musical styles with this setup that it is surprisingly satisfying.
An Even-Taper +.050 neck backshape guarantees an even ride with a little more girth from the 1st to the 22nd fret aboard this ultra-comfortable medium-depth neck. An excellent feel for players who want to hang on to something somewhat substantial without needing to close their hand too tightly. It’s not too little and it is not too big, but as Goldie would say, it is just right.
Is it paradise? Some would definitely say yes. The highest quality always feels that way as we embrace it. So good.
But what about experiencing an overall life-pervading paradise, that state of being that everyone seeks whether we are consciously or unconsciously aware we are doing so? How do we find it, how do we live in it?
Move to Oahu full time? Eat only organically grown fruits and vegetables? Get everyone everywhere to behave only in the ways we think are best?
Or…
Is it a state of mind that we live in, beyond circumstance? No matter what appears before us in the short run, the reaction becomes one of non-resistance. From this vantage point, we can set an alternate course based on the greatest good in any situation — moving forward and not looking back. Then we watch as a new and emerging course creates a different reality. In this way, situations often become more pleasing than what was first imagined or what we first believed to be required for happiness.
Maybe that’s it.
But quality begets quality, and as we welcome it in one area of our lives, it manifests in many others — almost effortlessly.
But of course, you could also move to Oahu if it felt right to do so. Dan’s and The Classic would be glad to see you in paradise.
Editor’s Note: In other news, speaking of special events, Saturday evening, October 24th, at 7:00–9:00 PM, in the City of Angels — Los Angeles — there will be an angelic event at Angel City Guitars, featuring Anderson Artist: Horace Bray. He will play and share his wisdom. We certainly look forward to that.
