Neal Is Super-Musical

Neal Is A Super-Musical And Conscientious Player

You can tell this with one listen to anything he touches. Soaring and infectious melodies, woven together with lightning-fast transitions in just the right places, pervade his soloing and improvising.  So nice.

And as such, he probably also takes good care of the things in his life as well. This is why Neal relies on us to ding and scratch some of his Anderson guitars for him. We call this process, In-Distress.

Donning our specially-made Anderson Guitarworks sandpaper suit, we pre-play and pre-perform with Neal’s guitars to get them worn in and worn out in just the right way for him—In Distress at its best.

Candy Apple Red at In-Distress Level 3 is the finish choice for The Classic—this one featuring a short scale for the benefits of slightly more midrange focus and ease of play—complements of the short scale’s lessened string tension.

VA7.2 pickups gorgeously take care of rich and real vintage single coil duties in the neck and middle positions while an HC3 humbucker at the bridge can split down to an impressively authentic single tone or crush its full humbucker potential with ultra-overwound vintage might.

Pitches bending, shifting, swirling and diving are complements of Neal’s use of a fulling locking tremolo bridge, offering its expertise to this one-of-a-kind playing experience.

Lean into the screen and enjoy.
