Anderson Guitarworks Introduces… Baritom Raven.
What bird is the biggest, baddest, bestest bird ever?
It is the brand-new BariTom Raven – new for NAMM 26.
In Guitar Tales from July 24, 2025, we all had great fun referring to Markus as Big Thundery Boom-Boom while featuring a Seafoam Green BariTom Classic.
But now today for NAMM 26 – fueled by popular demand – we are introducing BariTom Raven. The offset body baritone guitar that makes low register romping pure musical joy.

Please meet Dire Wolfhound – the big dog is in the house of Anderson Guitarworks.
You can see them here for the very first time and debuting at the NAMM Show, January 2026.
Still distinctively defined by those sleek, gorgeous, and coveted Wolfhound lines, but with a slightly thicker body and flat neck angle to be able to accommodate all manner of desirable amenities you have most likely become accustomed to playing on more traditional electric guitars – like a Vintage Tremolo bridge, Baby Floyd, or a Full Locking Floyd Rose with a Locking nut.
With the newfound depth of Dire Wolfhound, we are also happily able to accommodate and accessorize with Push/Pull pots, mega 5-Way switching, and a plethora of pickup choices to effortlessly effervesce any and all electric guitar sounds with the new, cool beauty of Wolfhound by your side. Your new best friend.
Expanding from our original Wolfhound’s shorty, 24 3/4-inch scale length, the Dire Wolf also offers a longer 25 1/2-inch scale so you may play with the reach, feel, and timbre you most prefer. And the Dire’s neck pickup is nestled up under the 24th harmonic.

Yes, please meet Dire Wolfhound – the big dog is in the house of Anderson Guitarworks. These NAMM 26 covert shots show a prototype with a few more ergonomic modifications to come, so pleasurable playing positioning is ultra-maximized – but of course.
And while we are here sneaking around the Dire Wolfhound, let’s not forget to notice the new White Pearl Block Inlays atop its rich Rosewood fingerboard.
You could call this new guitar the multi-trick pony sized dog. Or…you could just call it: Dire Wolfhound. Either way, so good!

We had a great time visiting with friends at Guitar Summit 2025 in Mannheim, Germany! The place to be with 631 exhibitors on 4 floors - from boutique builders to big brands. We had a bunch of guitars to check out courtesy of our awesome German dealer Station Music, with amplification courtesy of the rad folks at Revv.

Here we have a cool Icon Classic, well spec'd by Guitars Rebellion in Paris, France. Something of a hot rod with its mix of traditional elements along with our more modern SC and H Series pickups, Jumbo frets, and a Baby Floyd.

After extensive real world testing, we’re thrilled to be shipping our guitars with D’Addario XS Coated Strings!
How many times have you been in the recording studio, using your guitar on track after track, and all of a sudden your strings are done, almost instantly losing their clarity? Quickly, you change strings only to now have them too brash sounding to blend with the track, leaving you wishing you had time to "play them in” more completely. With D’Addario XS Coated Strings, you have no worries. Due to their advanced formula and construction, these strings have a significantly longer and more pleasing musical life. Introducing our Pickup Sound Library:
Together with Anderson Artist Cody Davis we meticulously recorded every pickup we make. Everything was done with consistency and continuity in mind - using the exact same guitar and recording method from one to the next - so you can truly a/b different pickup sounds. Keep in mind that while we find this most helpful for hearing how pickups sound from one to the next, it’s not necessarily representative of how they will sound in your guitar. (We used a Classic, with an Alder body and Maple neck)

We are now offering our V2 Booster onboard many of our guitar models (with applicable pickup configurations).
Made by Black Ice Enterprises, it’s a battery-free device that generates approximately 4db of boost that's broadly concentrated in the midrange frequencies. It’s been carefully voiced to produce a fat, humbucker-esque tone when used with single coil pickups. Pair it with our HF/HC Series or PQ/PH Series pickups, and you'll have fingertip access to the authoritative grind of a hot, overwound humbucker.
The small Black Ice Boost module (approx. 2/3 the size of a 9v battery) is installed with no routing or permanent modifications required. The tone of your instrument remains completely unaffected when the boost is bypassed.

You may have noticed that Wolfie’s neck pickup is purposely positioned a smidge bridgeward of the 24th harmonic—for a less “wolfie” tone. This alignment renders a slightly clearer and more universally usable neck pickup tone so you can love and live at this sound setting more of the time for more of your music.
