A Dire Situation That Has Gone…Good
/
Very Good, in fact. Just as it should be. Because Goodness always wins. Think of it, always. There is no parallel.
Here in Guitar Tales, among other things, we are talking about the all-new DireWolf. And DireWolf is a whole other musical matter entirely.
Yes, it is true that the DireWolf shares the same beautiful silhouette and flowing lines as our Wolfhound, but that is where the similarities end. The DireWolf follows a distinctly different lineage — only distantly related to Wolfhound and in some ways is perhaps more closely kindred to Pro Am — but then again, no.
In contrast to everything else, our original Wolfhound is a light, nimble, dual-pickup, short-scale guitar with a top-mounted bridge that is fast and fun to fling around — due largely to its smaller, 20% thinner, sculpted body. Because of this thinner form factor, you have a leaner but vital selection of Humbuckers, Soapbars, or Mini-Hum pickups from which to choose, all directed by a Big 3-Way Toggle selector, and mini-toggles when applicable.
Wonderful.
And yet, Wolfhound is so beautiful and so loved that it gave rise to other desires. Desires of the musical heart. A deep and unrelenting yearning to have something completely different, but with those same gorgeous “Wolfie” lines — a more all-around playing and performing machine. Something so noble that nobody can deny.
DireWolf — oh yes! All rise — so fun — the big dog wolf has entered the arena.
But is DireWolf actually physically bigger or is that mere musical folklore — a metaphor to exemplify its profound, multifaceted playing prowess? Well, mostly a metaphor because the DireWolf’s silhouette and sizing remain the same, but…DireWolf breaks out with archetypical Anderson body thickness — 25% thicker — like all of our other guitars except Wolfhound. This normalized aspect changes everything, granting a universe of universal access to a plethora of loved and versatile Anderson appointments — for those who want a much more all-embracing form factor with the alluring “Wolf” styling. A brand-new guitar that certainly will not go unnoticed.
“Wow, that is a gorgeous guitar? What is that!?“
Can you easily imagine standing on stage or in the studio with this “show-stopping” guitar wrapped around you — outfitted with all your favorite elevated Anderson aspects that you love to love?
This profound first production DireWolf features a Limba body finished in Tinted Natural to Black Burst and is headed to Five Star Guitars in Beaverton, Oregon.
To make these dire outfitting matters most easily seen, below is a chart succinctly outlining all the Anderson aspects available for dialing in DireWolf elation.
