Sleeper

Sleeper

So,

You roll up to the traffic light (or step onto the stage). Your car (or guitar) appears to be a normal “daily driver,” until…the light turns green (or the red record light comes on or the applause begins). One touch and it is fully apparent that you are driving (or playing) something vastly superior—a performance instrument that makes everything you do better, faster and more joyous.

Always good and always fun.

An In-Distress, Guardian Angel Player is certainly one of the best ways to get that venerated vintage look along with high performance attributes. A melding of a well-worn, time-honored traditional look with underlying, unparalleled, high-level performance capabilities—all the while presenting itself in a vintage way—a “Sleeper.”

Editor’s Note: In the auto world, a “Sleeper” is a car that looks “normal,” like a daily-driver, but totally “rips.” Unbeatable.

And Guardian Angel Player can be just that.

A Guardian Angel Player is a “player’s” 24 fret guitar with an all-tone wood body and pickguard styling.

Spec it as an “In-Distress,” vintage-finished instrument and its high-performance attributes can be hidden from view—unless you really know what you are looking at. But once you grab on, its playing pleasure is fully-realized and unsurpassed.

Not even slightly exaggerating.

This Guardian Angel Player was adeptly appointed by Howard. He selected our In-Distress, Level 3, Double Decker finish treatment: Black over Mellow Yellow.

Twin VA7, true vintage single coils, take their dominant positions at the neck and middle locations, while an HC2 gives Anderson’s super-musicality to overwound PAF humbucker-style tones.

An intuitive and familiar 5-Way switching effortlessly grants 14 super-usable tonal variations.

Grab on and don’t let go. It will be the ride of your life.
