Flying

After all the talk of what’s New for ’22 that we have done in the past 9 weeks or so…

Soaring through the sky unencumbered by any mechanical device—most people say they would love to be able to fly.

It is also often a metaphor for freedom of the human spirit; soaring joyfully unencumbered through life. A gentle and intrinsic desire we all share.

Flying across the fingerboard of an Anderson Raven—also a euphoric metaphor for Raven's beautiful ease of playability.

When asked, most people would love to experience the freedom of flight in one way or another.

Flying on a guitar is easy, just a matter of practice and the right instrument, but how do we fly through life?

As we become aware of what we truly need to strive and thrive, offer to others what you wish to receive. The secret of giving: as we give gifts of real value to another we are giving to ourselves simultaneously.

All thrive deeper together than as one alone. That is how the principle actually functions.  This is not a new concept. We all have heard it sung.

And in the end

The Love you take

Is equal to the Love

You make

And there are an uncountable amount of these pointers throughout music and writings.

Want understanding? Offer understanding. Want compassion? Offer compassion. Want peace? Offer peace. Want it all? Is that too much to ask? Not at all. It is the gift of completeness that is waiting for us to say yes.

Now the circumstances of this world have, once again, offered up a challenge in which our giving can make such a difference. Offer peace and stand unwaveringly in that notion. It is time. The world is waking to the huge benefits that global cooperation and unity will have. Nothing else can take its place. Nothing else will do. It is our destiny to recognize and embrace collaboration.

Light up your world. Light it with music and with joy.

Authoritarianism is an anachronism that no longer has merit or substance. Its time has passed. We are seeing that now. The birth of a new and better world where all needs are the same needs and all are important.

This is why music has always been so vital and why it has touched the human soul from before recorded history—especially so since its collaboration with poetry—becoming a new genre—the song.

As you play today, ask not for whom the Raven sings, it sings for you—and for all.
