Red…No…Blue Alert

Breaking the silence the alert sound blared out simultaneously on everyone’s phone. The important emergency message read:

“Blue alert, Blue alert!”

“This is not a test, we repeat, this is not a test, but an actual emergency—a color emergency. Take immediate action now to view the new Blue Anderson Guitarworks color.”

The announcement continued,

“Natural Bora Blue to Arctic Blue Burst alert.” Immediate action (at you leisure) is required. Please login to Guitar Tales and Anderson Guitarworks Instagram for further information and prepare to be overwhelmed by beauty and grace.“

Just as abruptly as it begin, the alert sound ceased and there was only silence…and a musical sense of complete color correlation.

Yes, a Li’l Angel wrapped in a brand new and oh so cool color has emerged: Natural Bora to Arctic Blue Burst. This particular one with the option of rounded edges, transitioning the Quilt Maple top body with its Limba (aka Korina) back—with no binding.

Limba presents its woody timbre as a Mahogany-like midrange focus but Limba adds its own, more present, upper end articulation—as if you have lightly sprinkled a touch of sparkling Swamp Ash essence over the guitar’s tonal palette. A wonderful combination for those wanting more effervescence from their muscular tones.

Two hum-cancelling SC2 pickups in the neck and middle positions produce giant, round sounds—for those that want more fat and fullness from their single coils—forgiving and rich.

Powering the tail in this Lil’ Angel tale is a black covered HC3+—ultra high output PAF style humbuck for all your soulful and saturated needs.

And if that wasn’t enough to highlight any musical emergency the alert sound blared out again…all phones sounding off. (You know how they like to send those alerts).

Simultaneously they read:

Lil Angel alert! Anderson’s short scale (24 3/4-inch) 24 fret Angel guitar. Li’l Angel not only features the shorter (littler) 24 3/4-inch scale length but its body dimensions are that of a Drop Top rather than the slightly larger, 25 1/2” (Traditional Scale length) Angel.“

“Mathematically speaking: svelte body + 24 3/4-inch scale + 24 frets = Li’l Angel.”

The Alert subsided as quickly as it came. Everything quiet once again. Time to plug in and make more noise—sweet musical noise—the sound of a Li’l Angel singing in Natural Bora to Arctic Blue Burst.
