Lights Out

Plunged into the dark abyss in mid spray, the Paint Room went dark—pitch black. Lights were out. Without the ability to see the guitar before them that was to be the next Organic Grain Fiesta Red with Black; it instead became Organic Grain Black with Black. Yes, Black on Black with textural wood grain. Born out of the darkness. Wow, what a cool look.

Or…

Maybe, it didn’t exactly happen that way.

Perhaps (sing it with us):

We see a Red Guitar and we want it painted Black.

No colors anymore, we want them to turn Black.

Either way, get ready because this is the official launch of:

Organic Grain Black with Black—another offering in our fine Organic Grain collection of guitar finishes—just as promised in Guitar Tales, “Laying Hands On It,” from September, 22, 2022

And yes, you can reach out and touch this Satin Black finish and actually feel the organic wood grain under your fingertips—which is why we call this finish collection: Organic Grain.

And what better way to show off the first one than on our magnificent Mongrel—this one purposely appointed with our fun and excellently-functioning J-Trem, tremolo tail piece and bridge.

Mongrel’s intrinsically awe-inspiring, sonic personality is brought to full fruition through a well-thought-out coalescence of TV7, VA7, MC3 pickups, hushed by our impressively-transparent V-Quiet System, all managed by customer-requested custom controls.

And what exactly is a Mongrel, anyway?

Well, take a close look. A Mongrel is a mutt, an amalgamation, a mix…yes, a crossbreed, a hybrid. An Anderson Mongrel is a T-Body with S-style Pickguard and control layout.  Some feel it is the best of both worlds and loyal to you and your music—like your best friend—a mutt.

Lights out!  Let’s sing our way out of this one, shall we?:

We see a Red Guitar and we want it painted Black.

No colors anymore, we want them to turn Black.

I see guitars play out dressed in their summer clothes

I have to turn it up until my darkness shows.
