Turbocharging to a T
/This week we take charge over stage and studio by “turbocharging” our T Classic—transmuting it to an entirely other level of jaw-dropping, unexpected power and potential.
Visually and sonically supported by Swamp Ash, the body’s inherently beautiful wood grain is enhanced by a Satin White with Black Dog Hair finish treatment that gracefully swoops over comfortable forearm and back body contours.
Editor’s note: Visually, Satin White with Black Dog Hair looks identical to our Organic Grain White with Black. The difference in these two finishes is evident when you get up close and personal. Upon intimate inspection, and as you actually touch the surface, the Organic Grain treatment has a tactile texture—you can feel the wood grain beneath your fingers, whereas the Satin White with Black Dog Hair finish (pictured here) is smooth to the touch—a very elegant satin treatment.
Elevated output comes via a twin, full humbucker setup, an H1- in the neck position for throaty tones that are richly thick and yet still articulate, while an HN2+ supercharges the bridge position with imposing, and musical midrange supremacy.
And yet…
While twin humbuckers rage, they can also be instantly and easily singled out and singled down to single coil sound.
With masterful control at your fingertips, this fast 5-Way switching system delivers 6 instantaneous sounds, from powerfully musical humbuckers to impressively pleasing single coil tones. So set up, you can do it all with one instrument in hand when the enjoyable demands of the stage beg you to keep on playing, straight on through to the next song and the next.
All of this exceptional pickup output is outfitted in black, sequestered atop a Black Pickguard and accompanied by ominous Black Hardware—offering a stealthy, no-questions-asked persona to this powerful T. At first, they won’t even know what’s coming until you have already dominated the first song of the night—and then you will basically have free reign to rein them in for the rest of the gig.
So fun.
While this is all taking place, wild tremolo acrobatics are available at your discretion with a fully functional Floyd Rose bridge system, complete with fine tuners and locking nut. Theoretically, this setup is so stable that you could even use this bridge as a diving board. Although caution is advised here because wearing board shorts on the bandstand can be a fashion misstep. Probably better to stick with your flashy stage clothes.
But no matter what you wear, let's not forget about the visual cool factor a reverse headstock initiates. It immediately indicates this guitar as one “bad” axe. And it is. In a good way.
And of course, playability is off the charts, as just touching it makes you feel better. Think I am kidding about this Anderson aspect? Touch it.
So, if you want to set your T power to maximum, take a peek over at The Music Zoo. There you can find this formidable T Classic in all its masterful, turbocharged DogHair White predominance—taking charge.
