Where does this Guardian Angel Player land?
Besides in my musical heart, I mean. And so super good-looking. Where exactly does the Guardian Angel Player fit into the mix of awesome guitars?
High performance? But of course, it’s an Anderson, so that goes without saying. Besides that…is it vintage or not? Modern or not? All of that together or something else entirely—new but with roots that solidly reach back to the very foundation of superlative electric guitar tones and traditions…? Or maybe it doesn’t need any specific category to be appreciated as the best guitar you have ever played.
Either way, let’s begin by doing some counting, shall we? Let’s count the number of turns of wire on each pickup.

Could take virtually forever and what would be the benefit? We can get a much better idea of superlative Anderson Pickup sounds by listening—since that is the purpose of purposefully designed pickups anyway. What do they sound like? How do they fit into the mix? Oh so good and so rich.
So then, let’s count…frets…and see where that leads us.

So, Guardian Angel Player is explicitly expressed and defined by beautiful lines swooping and cutting gracefully around its substantially S-style body, generously supported sonically by an all-tone-wood layup and classically chiseled pickguard styling.
Pickups: And since we almost counted pickup winds earlier (before we came to our mathematical senses), Angel’s unique 24-fret layout does do something wonderful to the pickups as well. It nestles the neck pickup right up next to the 24th harmonic for really impressive neck pickup tones. The best 24-fret neck tone you will ever find. You and your most musical friends will certainly notice and be very well pleased.
