And What is a Pavo?

Welcome to the Anderson Arena here within the Anderson Guitarworks top-secret underground testing area – where we play our guitars really loudly and share compellingly fun information. Thank you all for coming. Unfortunately, Tom may not be able to be in attendance this evening as he had some other pressingly vital matter he needed to attend. We understand.

From the outermost reaches of the innermost essence of metallic purple, people and players of purpose are petitioning to know what is a Pavo?

Wouldn’t you like to know? We would like to know too, so let’s find out together.

And while we are on the subject of what is what…

Also, what is a Mongrel – besides the world’s best-playing and sounding electric guitar?

This awesome Ande featured here in Guitar Tales is known as a Mongrel. And it is the first guitar to ever be finished in Metallic Pavo Purple.

Is there anyone here who would like to venture a guess as to what a Pavo might be? Anyone? Anyone?

Ah, you in the back of the auditorium, with your hand up, and…wearing a giant bird costume. Interesting and very colorful. Do you have a guess?

I know what it is! Should I say it?

Wow, that was quick. Okay, you can say it, but first, we would probably all like to know why you are wearing a giant bird costume? Plus, it is hard to see your face with that bird beak covering it up, and all those feathers. May we turn up the house lights in the venue, please?

Okay, mister…bird…do you have a guess?

It’s a Peacock! A Pavo is a Peacock!

That’s right. Sir, how did you know that so quickly? It’s like you know stuff. Wait…Tom, is that you wearing a giant Peacock costume? So this is the pressingly vital matter you needed to attend? Ha, very good and very fun.

Seriously speaking, however, there is probably no better way to learn the true essence of Metallic Pavo Purple than to have Tom be part of the presentation, even if he is presenting dressed as a big bird. We can talk with him about that later.

Correct, a Pavo is a peacock. So Metallic Pavo Purple is the vibrant purple of the peacock feather in metallic form. Really beautiful for those that love Metallic Purple.

This was a new custom color requested by Dario for his recent Mongrel. We think he made a great choice.

And what is a Mongrel? Anyone? Anyone?

Ah, you in the middle of the auditorium, with your hand up, and wearing a giant dog costume…

Wait…What!…Again!?

Okay, hold it one minute here! No one is actually wearing a giant dog costume, it is just a festive way to explain:

A Mongrel is a mixed breed. In this case, a beautiful blending of our T-shape body mixed with an S-style Pickguard and control layout, with comfortable S-body contours. For many players, this is the best of both worlds in one magnificent guitar.

And look at this pickup array – highlighted by a gold-covered TV7 in the neck position in sympathy with a full layout of Gold Hardware. A Purple and Gold colorway, very regal and so classy.

This full set of pure vintage pickups, TV7, VA7, TV7+, from neck to bridge, are systematically silenced by our V-Quiet hum-cancelling system for use with the coveted timbre of true vintage single-coil pickups – that are also truly quiet.

Well, we can definitely say these Anderson Guitarworks festivities have certainly been a success. We were introduced to Pavo Purple, re-reminded of the magnificence of Mongrel, understood the essentially quiet essence of the V-Quiet System and have hung out with a very pleasant person bold enough to party while wearing Pavo Purple plumage.
