Right Up Your Alley
/You will recall, we did alert you that surreptitiously sequestered within the underground annals of the most coveted guitars to be found anywhere on Earth were other flavors of Bowling Ball finishes—hiding just out of sight; waiting to be revealed.
Well, wait no longer, as another version has just been uncovered here in the Tales told of awesome, audacious Guitars.
Previously only seen annunciating the surface of our Pro Am, we recently realized an Icon Classic had somehow escaped the lens of our Guitar Tales camera—arrayed in the original Black and White Bowling Ball colorway, but this time, for the first time, counterbalanced by an accompanying Black Pickguard. Thankfully, this Icon was featured in our “Pick of the Litter” post on Instagram. So good.
It made its celebrated debut at Guitar Center in Nashville, Tennessee—the number one Platinum Room in the country and one of only two Guitar Center stores that exclusively carry Anderson Guitars. This first Bowling Ball to ever appear with a Pickguard was specced by the one-and-only Tony Higbee.
So, we felt we may have partially made up for that embarrassing Bowling Ball photo bungle (figuratively throwing a gutter ball) by soon thereafter revealing a riveting Red and Black interpretation, supercharging the surface of a gorgeous Guardian Angel Player, again complemented by a Black Pickguard.
But had we done enough? Well, maybe it’s never enough because at Anderson Guitarworks there is always more fun and more exciting guitar adventures to embark upon.
Forgive them for they know not what they do. Such a profound teaching that can transform everything.
As such, we give you Bowling Ball/Icon redemption…of sorts.
Once again, complements of Tony Higbee, a new Bowling Ball theme presenting on the second Icon Classic to be seen as such, featuring the dynamic drama that is Gold & Black Bowling Ball, interwoven with Black Pickguard panache.
And Tony has it at The Platinum Room in Nashville, Tennessee, of course.
