Make Mine A Double

Extreme Surfing can abruptly end in a Wipeout.

In the same way, we call our extreme Surf style finishing: Wipeout

Editor’s Note: Our Surf style finish is a graduated change in the depth of color as it moves linearly across the face of the guitar. We call this style “Surf” because it is so reminiscent of standing on the shore and looking out from the shallows to deeper water and to the deepening, richening hues.

Yes, Wipeout is a more extreme offering of our Surf style finish—meticulously, hand rubbed and boasting enhanced gradation, definition and vibrancy—especially when diving into the deepest, darkest parts of the color gradient—where wood grain is still wonderfully defined.

But now…

Double Wipeout:

The very first one—even more time consuming to create but so worth it if this is the look you desire. We call this color scheme: Ocean Storm Double Wipeout. Two colors encroaching upon the natural woods of the middle region—storm clouds rolling in from the neck area, with ever-deepening blue hues shining through at the bridge and out into the depths of the twin strap buttons.

If that was not enough guitar fun for the first-ever Ocean Storm Double Wipeout, check out the optional back application. Swamp Ash finished in Black with Blue Dog Hair.

Certainly this is a mind (and ocean storm) blowing Top T.
