Cherry Baby Can You Come Out Tonight
/Welcome To The 26 NAMM Fam Celebration
And that is the way it was, and most assuredly still is, for this Drop Top Classic during its profound appearance at the 2026 NAMM Show and beyond, as it is now appearing at Northeast Music Center in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Seemed everyone who walked into our NAMM booth would spy this gorgeous Drop Top Classic, pause, stop and stare, and then just want to hang out with it for as long as they possibly could — like they were visiting with their very best old/brand-new friend.
Drop Top Classic does seem to have that effect on people and players alike. Perhaps with Drop Top Classic, maybe more than any other guitar, it is that combination of total vintage vibe enhanced with a gorgeous Maple Top that catapults it into the stratosphere of love, affection, and desire. All the vintage vibe you could ever want but lifted well beyond with visually dramatic wood and well-known Anderson performance enhancements.
And it is so “cherry.” A new Cherry Burst finish makes it such.
Natural to Cherry to Black Edge Burst — a natural wood center, encircled by an attention-grabbing Transparent Cherry, transitioning to a bold black edge as it nestles next to the natural wood binding. A different and more natural way of doing a new alternative cherry burst style finish.
This may just be one of the reasons that this Drop Top Classic garnered all the attention that any guitar could ever possibly want. And is it maybe…perhaps…remotely possible that the cherry coloration is a result of a high-minded guitar blushing from all the adulation?
One can never really know for sure, but either way, in every way, ultra impressive.
