Dark Guardian Angel Goodness

Here at Anderson Guitarworks we have the pleasure of making guitars for a lot of really great people.  In fact we would say that we are honored to make each and every guitar for each and every person that desires to play an Anderson Guitar.  

As it should be.

The Guardian Angel featured in this edition of Guitar Tales is certainly no exception.  We made this black beauty for a very special friend—one of those people whose very presence always enriches the place where they stand.

Yes, it is a Dark Angel.  But only because this Guardian Angel is finished in Satin Transparent Black Burst.  Other than that, it is pure Anderson goodness—through and through.  The only thing that can make this guitar dark is the Satin Trans Black Burst finish—and its super-effective tone control (when rolled off)—and choosing some ultra high-gain Anderson humbuckers (if so desired)…oh, and maybe some dark amp settings of your choice. 

Its is the contrast and appointments that visually bring this Guardian’s blackness to life.

Flying fast and easy along its light colored Anderson fingerboard is a delightful, adrenaline-fueled experience—always.  A peerless maple neck, anaerobically toasted to a beautiful shade of caramel.  

We call it: Caramel Maple.  

Caramel Maple’s appearance appears to blend wonderfully well with its Alder body-back, finished in Natural Satin—a very nice pairing—sonically as well as visually.

Anderson-modified “Recessed Vintage Locking Tremolo” bridge

Bridging the gap between tradition and supreme function is our newly offered Anderson-modified, “Recessed Floating Tremolo - Locking Saddles” bridge.  For those desiring a vintage tremolo-type bridge that is routed to sit flat when neutral and be able to pull up, (as well as drop pitch) this is your preferred option.  Ridiculously stable tuning without a locking nut, truly a wonderful feeling and sounding bridge—for those who want full function in a comparatively vintage-sized package. 

The theme and the power of the Black, Guardian Angel is complete…with Black Pickguard and Black Hardware all around.
